Mabe Steel Inc. is seeking a Lead Man to supervise small crews on steel erection tasks at active job sites across North Carolina. This full-time, on-site field role emphasizes safety, leadership and practical blueprint interpretation for assembly at height.

The Lead Man carries out the Foreman's plan, keeps the crew productive and compliant with PPE and fall protection, and steps in for the Foreman when needed. OSHA 10 is preferred; OSHA 30 is a plus.

Formación

• 3+ years in structural steel erection, or rapid progression.
• Strong blueprint reading and joining/rigging knowledge.
• Basic welding ability; OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Leadership potential and willingness to grow into Foreman.
• Fully comfortable working outdoors and at elevated heights.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a small crew on erection tasks at elevated heights.
• Carry out the Foreman's plan and keep the crew productive, safe and on task.
• Read drawings to locate members, verify piece marks and check alignment.
• Enforce fall protection and PPE use within the crew; stop unsafe work.
• Report progress, material shortages and problems to the Foreman.
• Step in for the Foreman on assigned tasks when needed.
