Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop details.
• Safety-first mindset aligned with OSHA standards on site.
• Background in carpentry or structural framing is advantageous.
• Maintains tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Extensive experience in steel erection, bolting, decking, and at heights.
• Physical ability for demanding field work and variable weather.
• Formal education or certifications preferred in ironwork.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign daily work for ironworker crews.
• Coordinate heavy equipment usage and material handling.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings for layout.
• Verify alignment and layout of steel components to plans.
• Monitor site safety and lead toolbox talks.
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors to maintain schedules and quality.
• Troubleshoot field issues and mentor crew members.
• Maintain clear communication across the job site.
