Responsibilities

• Crew supervision: supervise and lead construction crews, including ironworkers, welders, and equipment operators; assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members, monitor work progress, and provide guidance and support to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Safety compliance: enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors. Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and inspections to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Quality control: conduct quality inspections of work performed by construction crews to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards; identify and address deficiencies or non-conformities in workmanship, materials, or equipment, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Material and equipment management: coordinate the delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment needed for construction activities, ensuring availability and readiness for use; monitor equipment usage and maintenance schedules, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
• Communication and coordination: serve as the primary point of contact for communication between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews; coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan and schedule work activities, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Documentation and reporting: maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, manpower, equipment usage, and safety incidents; prepare and submit daily reports, progress updates, and other documentation as required by project specifications or company procedures.
