Job summary

Fair Lane Estate in Dearborn, Michigan, seeks an Interpretation & Education Programs Manager to build and lead a 15–18 facilitator cohort and to design training and evaluation programs for public tours, lectures, and workshops. You will coordinate program delivery with colleagues across departments and ensure visitor experiences align with the estate’s interpretive plan.

• Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Public History, Museum Studies, Education, or related field.
• Experience in education, art history, and museum interpretation/visitor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, schedule, supervise, and support facilitator staff cohorts (15-18 part-time).
• Co-lead recruitment for new facilitator cohorts and interview candidates.
• Oversee daily operations and functionality of interpretation/education spaces and processes.
• Develop and deliver cross-departmental training on site interpretation.
• Coordinate programs including general tours, lectures, and hands-on workshops.
