Job summary

GoFundMe is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering, Integrations Platform to lead the team responsible for the systems powering critical integrations across GoFundMe. You will shape the technical direction and build reliable, scalable experiences that connect GoFundMe with customers, nonprofits, and third-party platforms.

This in-person role in the San Francisco Bay Area requires 3x weekly in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and growing software engineering teams as a people manager.
• Hands-on background in backend, distributed, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js, APIs and webhooks, and AWS services.
• Proven ability to deliver complex platform or backend projects, managing scope and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a product-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and support a team of software engineers building and operating the Integrations Platform.
• Own delivery of the integrations roadmap, balancing partner needs, platform capabilities, reliability work, and technical debt.
• Operate as a player-coach: stay hands-on in architecture reviews and design documents while mentoring engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, and other engineering teams to deliver seamless integration experiences.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices and safe AI coding agent conventions.
