Job summary

The Neil Jones Food Company in Hollister, CA is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Supervisor to lead instrumentation, electrical maintenance, and test activities in our food processing facility. You will supervise skilled technicians, ensure safety procedures, optimize plant performance, and support continuous improvement projects across the San Benito Foods plant.

Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent, plus 3 years in electrical/electronics maintenance and 1 year

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational cert in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in electrical/electronics maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• 1 year supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment; California Electrician license preferred.
• Working knowledge of solid-state circuitry and PLC/HMI programming, robotics and systems integration.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and undergo background checks; able to work extended schedules during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Supervises instrumentation electronics and electrical maintenance, calibration, testing and repairs of systems and equipment.
• Ensures installation, start up and shut down of equipment is performed safely per procedures.
• Confers with staff to resolve production or processing problems for optimum efficiency.
• Supervises maintenance personnel, assigns daily work and provides coaching and feedback.
• Communicates procedures and safety requirements to operators and maintenance teams.
