Job summary

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking an Electrician to inspect, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems at the San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA. You will ensure safety codes and proper inspections. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of industrial electrical experience, a 1-year certificate or AA, and the ability to read English. Bilingual EN/ES is a plus; weekend shifts may occur during peak season.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ related industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing.
• 1-year certificate from college or technical school; AA preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English fluently; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and work extended schedule, weekends during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and test motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment.
• Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Manager.
• Install power supply and control wiring for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
• Install wiring and electrical components in specific electrical panels.
• Connect power supply and control wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.

NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for an Electrician who will inspect, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Skilled in all phases of electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of power distribution and motor control circuits.


• One-year certificate from college or technical school; Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or, any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.


• 5 years’ related industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing.


• Requires the abilityto read, write and comprehend English fluently; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.


• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and work extended schedule, weekends, and any assigned shift during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
