Job summary

Stratus has partnered with Kestrel Engineering to hire an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer. This role leads the I&C engineering effort across projects, coordinating with multiple disciplines and communicating with clients from proposal through execution.

Qualified candidates will hold a BSc in engineering with 10+ years in petrochemical/oil & gas I&C, and be familiar with safety-related systems and risk assessment processes. A PE license is preferred, and hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• BSc in engineering required with minimum 10 years’ instrumentation and controls experience in petrochemical/oil & gas industries.
• Ability to lead quality management of discipline work processes and deliverables.
• Experience with control and interface systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI) including specification and integration design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and control system specifications, data sheets, and standard deliverables.
• Review instrument and control system vendor drawings; interface with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
• Develop P&IDs, equipment/material specs, logic diagrams, and control narratives.
