Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking a seasoned Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to support design, construction, testing, installation, and commissioning of hyperscale data center modules. You will review drawings, prepare instrument data sheets, and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 7–15 years in controls/instrument design, CAD/BIM proficiency, and a strong understanding of industry standards to ensure reliable and safe electrical scope execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Controls Engineering from a recognized university.
Professional Engineering License preferred.
7–15 years of controls and instrument design experience.
Experience with CAD/BIM and data-center electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Check and approve drawings and documentation to meet industry codes.
Review P&ID, IOM, Startup procedures, and control philosophy.
Prepare instrument lists, data sheets, and control narratives.
Troubleshoot start-up and commissioning issues in data centers.
Coordinate with I&E contractors and vendor bid analyses.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
