Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical is seeking a seasoned Low Voltage & Controls Superintendent to oversee field execution on hyperscale data centers and related high-performance projects. You will coordinate low voltage, controls, BAS/BMS, and IT/network interfaces from setup through turnover, ensuring safety, quality, and operational readiness.

You will lead teamwork across electrical, mechanical, and commissioning partners, manage lookaheads, and mentor junior leaders while aligning with design intent

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of construction field leadership on data center or mission critical projects.
• Experience as Superintendent or equivalent field leadership role.
• Experience coordinating low voltage and controls with multiple trades.
• Knowledge of commissioning levels, startup sequencing, and turnover requirements.
• Ability to read construction docs, schematics, and coordination models.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM/VDC coordination, Primavera P6 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for low voltage, controls, and technology scopes.
• Drive project safety expectations, pre-task planning, LOTO, energized-work controls and compliance.
• Coordinate structured cabling, BAS/BMS, IT/network, and vendor interfaces.
• Lead coordination among electrical, mechanical, life safety, and commissioning teams.
• Build and manage lookaheads aligning installation, inspections, energization, and turnover milestones.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers.
