Job summary

Sila Nanotechnologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to drive the design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of field instrumentation for next‑generation manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

BS in an engineering field and 5+ years capital projects in process industries.
Knowledge of measurement principles and valve sizing.
Experience specifying/installing instrumentation for high-temp and hazardous environments.
Proven ability coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Select, size, and specify field instruments for high-temp processes and hazardous gas delivery systems.
Lead I&C design reviews through Front-End-Loading and detailed engineering phases.
Author and maintain instrument indexes, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control drawings.
Specify SIL-rated instrumentation for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Provide hands-on leadership during build phases—installation oversight, calibration, FAT/SAT, startup.
Work with automation and process engineers to integrate instrumentation into PLC/SCADA and safety interlocks.
