Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead instrument and controls scope for cutting-edge mineral refining projects. You will guide the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems across capital projects, collaborating with lab techs and process engineers.

You will also mentor junior engineers and help advance AI/ML driven optimization for plant performance, with a focus on robust, scalable control

Qualifications

Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to complex problems.
Experience with equipment engineering and design including brownfield and greenfield projects.
Experience with control system programming and HMI development.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage capital projects.

Responsibilities

Lead equipment scopes from concept through procurement, installation, commissioning and ramp.
Manage external equipment providers and licensors to deliver integrated mineral refining scopes.
Drive cross-functional teams to scale up tech and de-risk commercialization of new processes.
Support hiring, mentorship, and day-to-day management of junior engineers.
Lead selection, calibration, and installation of instruments, valves, and analyzers.
Support development of ML-enabled control and optimization for plants.
Identify opportunities to automate capital project workflows and develop advanced control algorithms.
