Job summary

Sacramento County is seeking a Water Quality Control Systems Technician (journey level) to maintain and repair instrumentation and control systems in process facilities. Under supervision, you will handle pneumatic, electronic, and computer-controlled equipment, ensure safety, and communicate with operations staff.

Applicants should have an instrumentation degree or equivalent experience, valid California driver license, and be able to work day, swing, or graveyard shifts.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience and education to provide required knowledge/abilities.
• AA/AS degree or 30 college units in instrumentation/computers/electronics.
• Two years of full-time experience in operation, maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pneumatic, chemical, electric and electronic components.
• Work with analog/digital networks and process instrumentation systems.
• Respond to emergency calls and work various shifts as needed.
