Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to oversee Decontamination, Assembly, Sterilization, Case Pick, and cart transport. The role requires leading the SPD team, maintaining competency, and ensuring high quality instrumentation for surgical services customers.

Reports to the SPD manager, precepts and trains staff, and adheres to AAMI, APIC, and AORN standards while maintaining CRCST or CBSPD certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications: HSPA CRCST or CBSPD Certification required; HSPA CIS, CER Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead SPD team to deliver high quality and reliable instrumentation.
• Precept and train team members; act as a leader and expert resource.
• Assist site manager with tray corrections, maintenance schedules, and audits in accordance with policies and standards.
