Job summary

University of Houston is seeking a Lead Instructor for the UH Integrative Health and Well-being Coaching Certificate Program. The role focuses on curriculum leadership, primary instruction, mentoring, and assessment to ensure NBHWC standards are met across modules and sessions.

The position is a part-time contractual appointment with ~15–20 hours/month, working closely with the Program Director to ensure cohesive delivery and continuity for students throughout the program.

Qualifications

• NBC-HWC credential must be current and maintained.
• Ability to teach adult learners in an engaging, collaborative environment.
• Experience providing coaching feedback, mentoring, supervision, or assessment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Director on curriculum planning and development.
• Serve as the primary instructor for synchronous and asynchronous sessions.
• Develop instructional materials and learning activities for the program.
• Support curriculum updates and LMS alignment with NBHWC expectations.
• Coordinate faculty participation and promote consistency among instructors.
• Mentor faculty and provide feedback on coaching skills and assessments.
• Model NBHWC-aligned professional practice and ethics.
• Respond to student questions about curriculum and course expectations.
