Job summary

University of Houston seeks a Lead Instructor for the UH Integrative Health and Well-being Coaching Certificate Program. The role focuses on curriculum leadership, primary instruction, mentoring, and assessment across modules to ensure NBHWC-aligned training and continuity for students.

You will collaborate with the Program Director to plan, deliver, and continually improve the coaching curriculum, provide instructional leadership, and support faculty coordination and student experiences.

Qualifications

• NBC-HWC credential must be maintained.
• Knowledge of health and well-being coaching ethics, competencies, and behavior-change approaches.
• Ability to teach and facilitate adult learners in an engaging, collaborative environment.
• Experience providing coaching feedback, mentoring, supervision, or assessment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with the Program Director and multidisciplinary faculty.
• Ability to meet deadlines for instruction, grading, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Director on curriculum planning, development, and delivery.
• Serve as the primary instructor, leading synchronous sessions and intensive trainings.
• Develop instructional materials and resources for asynchronous and synchronous delivery.
• Update curriculum in the LMS and ensure alignment with NBHWC expectations.
• Maintain regular communication about timelines, milestones, and expectations.
• Coordinate with faculty and promote consistency across instructors.
