Job summary

University of Houston seeks a Lead Instructor for the UH Integrative Health and Well-being Coaching Certificate Program. The role combines curriculum leadership, primary instruction, mentoring, and assessment for a part-time contract with approximately 15–20 hours per month.

The Lead Instructor collaborates with the Program Director to ensure NBHWC-aligned curriculum, coordinates faculty participation, and maintains clear communication of expectations and timelines.

Qualifications

• NBC-HWC credential required and must be maintained.
• Ability to teach adults in collaborative learning environments.
• Experience with mentoring, supervision, and assessment.
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum planning, development, review, and delivery for the health coach program.
• Serve as primary instructor for synchronous and asynchronous sessions.
• Develop instructional materials and activities to support learning.
• Coordinate with program director and faculty for consistent instruction.
• Mentor faculty and provide feedback using required rubrics.
