Job summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking a Mid-Level Instructional Designer to develop training materials, e-learning content, and curricula for our federal IT solutions. The role emphasizes accessibility, alignment with ADDIE/SAM, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will design modules, simulations, and assessments, maintain materials across system updates, and ensure Section 508 compliance while leveraging Storyline, Captivate, and other tools in a remote, full-time setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field.
  • 3–5 years of instructional design experience.
  • Ability to design and deliver e-learning content and curricula.
  • Experience with accessible design and SCORM/xAPI packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training materials, e-learning content, and curricula.
  • Analyze training needs and design curricula using instructional design methodologies.
  • Create e-learning modules, job aids, simulations, and assessments.
  • Produce Section 508-compliant training content and accessible media.
  • Update materials in response to system releases and feedback.

Job Summary:

Develops training materials, e-learning content, and curriculum supporting enterprise application adoption and sustained user proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze training needs and design curricula using established instructional design methodologies.
  • Develop e-learning modules, job aids, simulations, and assessment instruments.
  • Produce Section 508-compliant training content, including accessible multimedia and documentation.
  • Maintain and update training materials in response to system releases and process changes.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate learner feedback into revisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of instructional design experience.
  • Certifications — Required: None.
  • Certifications — Obtainable After Hire: Articulate or Adobe Captivate product certification, within 90 days of assignment.
  • Certifications — Preferred: ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD); Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD); IAAP CPACC.
  • Required Skills: Instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM); e-learning authoring tools; curriculum development; assessment design; multimedia integration.
  • Preferred Skills: Federal training development experience; Section 508-compliant e-learning development; LMS administration.
Technical Environment:

Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360; Adobe Captivate; Camtasia; Vyond; learning management systems (Moodle, Cornerstone, or SuccessFactors); SCORM and xAPI packaging; Adobe Acrobat Pro accessibility checker; Microsoft 365; Snagit.
