Job summary

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to join the inpatient team. The role works under the supervision of a pharmacist and handles packaging, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies, including preparation of compounded and IV medications.

Candidates must have Alaska Pharmacy Technician License and Certification. The position offers pay from $28.47 to $44.49 hourly, with shift differentials and benefits, and a 40-hour full-time schedule with 4x10 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician License and Certification required.
• Two years of experience in a FHP pharmacy technician role or equivalent preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, math, and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, patients and contacts.

Responsibilities

• Selects/prepares medications under supervision for pharmacist check.
• Maintains inventory and restocks medications and supplies.
• Compounds specialty drug products and repackages medications.
• Prepares/labels IV medications and total parenteral nutrition using sterile technique.
• Performs quality control tasks and documents interventions.
• Supervises and coordinates Pharmacy Technician staff and trainees.
