Job summary

Foundation Health Partners seeks a Pharmacy Technician for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital to support pharmacists in packaging, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceuticals. You will assist in preparing compounded and intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition, and hazardous medications under supervision.

The role involves leading workflow, training Technician Apprentices and Volunteers, and ensuring care standards for patients.

Qualifications

• Requires Alaska pharmacy technician licensure upon hire.
• Certification as CPhT or ExCPT required.

Responsibilities

• Selects and prepares medications under supervision.
• Restocks medications and manages inventory.
• Compounds specialty drug products and prepares IV medications.
• Assists in labeling and preparing intravenous orders, including TPN and hazardous meds.
• May perform quality control and environmental interventions.
• Supervises and trains Technician Apprentices, Technician I/II, and Volunteers.
