Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Alaska Pharmacy Technician License.
• Must have good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts.

Responsibilities

• Selects and prepares medications under direct supervision as indicated on orders.
• Charges/credits patients for medications and IV solutions; restocks and maintains records.
• Attends to customers, answers phones, and liaises between customers and the pharmacist.
• Identifies medications for reorder to maintain inventory; restocks via wholesaler.
• Repackages bulk medications into unit-dose packaging and documents it accurately.
• Performs quality control and documents refrigerator temperatures and equipment maintenance.
