Job summary

You will lead workflow, train Technician Apprentices, and oversee volunteers while ensuring patient safety and quality standards. Requires Alaska licensure with CPhT/ExCPT certification and two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Alaska pharmacy technician license upon hire and certification (CPhT or ExCPT).
• Two years of experience in a FHP pharmacy technician role or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, math and computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, patients and contacts.
• Experience with medication management software, Microsoft applications and automated dispensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Selects/prepares medications under direct supervision per patient orders; delivers to nursing units; handles charges/credits and restocks.
• Identifies meds/items for reorder to maintain inventory; checks in orders from wholesalers/vendors; manages shortages.
