Job summary

Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, AK seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with packaging, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. You will work under supervision and must demonstrate the ability to assess situations and ensure patient care.

This full-time role is 40 hours/week on 5x8 shifts, including weekends and holidays. Benefits include medical/vision/dental, 401k with employer match, Tuition Assistance and on-site gym.

Qualifications

• Alaska Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Good organizational, problem-solving and computer skills.
• Ability to interact with staff, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Selects and/or prepares medications under supervision for pharmacist to check.
• Charges/credits patients for medications and restocks as needed.
• Attends to customers, answers phones, and liaises between customers and pharmacists.
• Identifies medications for reorder and restocks from vendors.
• Repackages bulk medications into unit-of-use packaging.
• Performs quality control and documents temperatures and equipment maintenance.
• May use automated dispensing technology or restock after pharmacist check.
