Southern California Hospitals seeks an experienced Department Supervisor to provide direct supervision and staff development, collaborating with charge nurses, house supervisors, and providers to resolve clinical and operational concerns.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing and escalates administrative issues as needed, with a focus on staffing, performance, and patient care quality across shifts.

Formación

• Two (2) years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role in a hospital environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of patient classification and staffing requirements for the patient population.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsabilidades

• Direct supervision and frontline leadership to assigned department staff, with coaching, feedback, and support.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, providers, and interdisciplinary departments to resolve clinical and operational concerns.
• Develop and maintain department staffing schedules and payroll/timekeeping responsibilities.
