Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3–4 years related experience.
• Advanced level processing/troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes.
• Ability to optimize and document run parameters for new or existing molds and equipment.
• Coordinate activities within the Injection Molding department and with supporting teams.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to solve practical processing problems with limited standardization.
• Lead a group to accomplish a predefined goal and mentor others on setup/start-up procedures.
• Knowledge of utility, material handler and all setup technician levels.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Set‑Up Tech I and II responsibilities including mold prep, removal, installation, and robot setup.
• Maintain maximum machine utilization and output in the assigned area.
• Monitor all running jobs for quality, cycle time, and weights.
• Troubleshoot processing issues and adhere to SOPs.
• Collaborate with Sr. Tech Supervisor, Engineering, Mold Shop, Scheduling, and Quality Control to test molds/materials and document results.
• Lead mold changeovers and train others on setup/start-up procedures.
• Identify and implement procedures to improve safety, efficiency, and profitability.
• Provide technical support to optimize output and reduce cycles.
• Maintain clean, safe production areas and reliable attendance.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; participate in safety meetings.
