Job summary

Alltrista Plastics LLC - Reedsville Manufacturing seeks a Senior Process Technician who serves as the technical expert for injection molding across the facility. You will optimize processes, troubleshoot complex issues, support tooling and automation, and provide technical leadership to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of molding principles and the ability to train technicians and mold setters.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of injection molding processing and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to train and mentor Process Technicians and Mold Setters in advanced troubleshooting and safe operation.
• Knowledge of mold design, hot runner systems, and scientific molding principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills using data analysis and logical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and resolves complex issues involving molding equipment, robotics/automation, auxiliary equipment, and electrical control systems.
• Performs mold set-ups, process start-ups, color changes, and process adjustments while ensuring equipment and tooling are operating safely and efficiently.
• Partfers with Quality, Tooling, Automation, Engineering, and Production to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provides technical leadership by training and mentoring Process Technicians, Mold Setters, and production employees on best practices.
• Develops, optimizes, and continuously improves manufacturing processes using scientific molding principles, SPC, process monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Maintains compliance with QMS requirements, safety standards, company policies, and housekeeping practices.
• Leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction, and equipment reliability.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
