J&O Plastics in Ohio is seeking a Lead Injection Molding Process Technician to lead the molding operation on the assigned shift, ensure stable processes, and provide technical guidance to other technicians.

This role focuses on maintaining quality, process control, and production output, coordinating with quality, maintenance, and supervision, and driving continuous improvement across the shift.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an injection molding process technician.
• Ability to troubleshoot injection molding processes and part defects.
• Ability to provide technical direction, coaching, and support to other technicians.
• Solid understanding of injection molding fundamentals, machine operation, molds, materials, and tooling.
• Ability to make disciplined process adjustments while maintaining process control.
• Strong communication skills across operators, technicians, supervisors, quality, and engineering.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to safety, quality, production discipline, and continuous learning.
• Strong documentation habits and willingness to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical condition of a molding shift and provide direction to technicians.
• Troubleshoot molding defects and production interruptions.
• Coordinate with maintenance, tooling, automation, material handling, and quality teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and process discipline across the shift.
• Maintain awareness of shift goals, machine status, downtime, scrap, and production quality.
