Job summary

NYX Automotive Interiors in Livonia, MI is seeking a Process Technician for our injection molding operations. You will perform daily process verification, machine rounds, and respond immediately to ANDON signals to keep production on schedule.

From start-up through production, you will coordinate with die setters and material handlers, ensure the product runs for at least 10 consecutive shots to verify the F.P.A. standard, maintain 5S housekeeping, and uphold TS16949 compliance.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in process development and engineering.
• Proficiency with injection molding processes and tooling.
• Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO 14001 EMS systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks on Process Verification Sheets and Machine Daily Rounds.
• Respond to ANDON signals to protect productivity.
• Review Production Books and Kiosk documentation; inform supervisor of shortages.
• Document changes on the Parameter Log Change form as needed.
• Follow work instructions for Process Monitoring, First Piece Approval, Mold Change, and related tasks.
• Coordinate with die setters, material handlers, and stock handlers during job changes.
• Ensure product runs for at least 10 consecutive shots to verify the F.P.A. standard.
• Oversee machine shutdowns, tooling, and maintenance tracking.
• Possess ability to supervise the shift in the absence of the supervisor.
• Complete additional work assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain awareness of TS16949 and Quality Policy.
• Follow safety rules and report injuries; maintain 5S housekeeping.
