Job summary

Monoflo International, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician to own daily operation of injection molding machines and automation cells. The role involves startup of machines from 180T to 1100T, programming robots, and managing auxiliary equipment.

You will troubleshoot complex process issues and support engineering during mold and machine startups. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in plastic injection molding, experience with robots, and familiarity with Engel/JSW systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience with robots and automation is desirable.
• Experience with Engel, JSW, United Silicone, TCUs, and utility systems is highly desirable.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide production process support to the Plant Manager as the internal processing expert in injection molding.
• Startup injection molding machines across a wide tonnage range (180T–1100T).
• Startup automation cells including Fanuc robots and assembly equipment.
• Program robots used to pick parts from molding machines and place on conveyors.
• Set up auxiliary equipment used in the molding process; temperature control units, heater controllers, material blenders, etc.
• Perform advanced plastic process troubleshooting for defects and inconsistencies.
• Troubleshoot auxiliary equipment and automation cell equipment.
• Support Engineering with new mold and machine start ups and validation.
• Identify processing inconsistencies and root cause between mold, machine, or material.
• Use IQMS for production schedule planning, downtime, and reject coding.
• Conduct Quality Audits to validate finished goods quality at molding.
• Audit process parameter log history and trends; take corrective actions.
• Train Supervisors and Cell Technicians on shift.
