Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond is seeking an Engineer Technician specializing in injection molding to optimize processes, improve safety, quality, productivity, and OEE, and to analyze data to enhance capability and cycle times. You will monitor production and implement improvements to standardize best practices across shifts.

You will lead troubleshooting of molding issues, support mold qualification and validation, and coach Technicians, Setters, Operators, and Production Team Members on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in scientific molding, process optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with mold qualification, process validation, production launches, and continuous improvement in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Optimize injection molding processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and OEE.
• Analyze process and manufacturing data to improve capability, stability, repeatability, cycle times, scrap, and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex molding issues and conduct root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Support mold qualification, process validation, and mold testing during repairs, transfers, and launches.
• Coach Technicians, Setters, Operators, and Production Team Members on scientific molding principles.
• Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with global standards and maintain operating documentation.
