Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking an Engineer, Tooling, Injection Molds with deep expertise in tooling development, design approval, build completion and functionality validation from mold kick-off to final approval. You will coordinate design reviews, interact with suppliers and internal teams, ensure on-time documentation and tooling readiness, and lead post-kickoff debriefs.

This role requires up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Five years experience as a Tool Maker, Tool Designer, or Tool Repair technician.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited choices.
• Wonderlic Contemporary Select Assessment: score of 50 (Traditional 26 in cognitive portion).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and leads design reviews, provides approval for manufacture to ensure timing completion to projected project schedules.
• Complies with procedures and completes and distributes documentation on time.
• Assures robust tool function for easy set up and maintenance.
• Leads functional samples and ensures tool readiness and associated documentation.
• Delivers post-sample events documentation and supplier communications.
