Job summary

Summit-Polymers- is seeking an Engineer in Tooling for Injection Molds. This role coordinates design reviews, drives mold builds, and ensures tooling quality across development stages.

The candidate will work with internal teams and external vendors to diagnose tooling concerns and implement improvements to tooling quality systems. Qualifications

• Five years experience as a Tool Maker, Tool Designer, or Tool Repair technician.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited options.
• Minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Select Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead design reviews and approve manufacture to meet project schedules.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and adheres to procedures.
• Ensure robust tool function for easy set up and maintenance.
• Lead functional samples with the TEP and determine tool readiness.
• Approve completion of tooling functional sample resolutions.
• Coordinate with the USA PDT and verify supplier progress reports.
• Represent the company to tool vendors and resolve issues.
• Lead post-kickoff, post-design review, and post-sample wrap-up meetings.
• Provide post-sample parts, reports, and required documentation for every sample event.
• Understand PPS, 8-D, and A3 problem-solving methods.
• Provide technical support to Engineering, Plant, or Customer teams.
• Process receiving service samples for offshore molds and document per KBPD and TENG.
• Handle other duties and special assignments as directed.
