JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within Corporate Technology to serve as a subject matter expert on virtualization and OS platforms, driving stability, scalability and performance of critical infrastructure. You will partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify risks, govern remediation efforts, and ensure end-to-end monitoring of systems running at scale.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts with applied experience.
• Strong knowledge of VMware/ESXi, Linux/Unix, Windows, hardware, networking, storage, deployment, automation and performance assessments.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation languages such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
• Demonstrated ability to expand infrastructure knowledge across domains including data fluency and automation.
• Ability to make significant technical decisions spanning multiple technologies and applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on VMware/ESXi platforms and Linux environments, guiding infrastructure initiatives.
• Apply structured problem-solving to projects of moderate-to-high scope, focusing on scale.
• Ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications and infrastructure, proactively resolving issues.
• Resolve complex technical nuances and determine escalation paths as needed.
• Execute approaches to decompose and solve infrastructure challenges.
• Support capacity management processes and remediation efforts with stakeholders.
• Evaluate data flows and dependencies when making architectural decisions.
• Utilize AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation with proper validation.
