Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in Columbus to advance virtualization, OS platforms, and scalable infrastructure. You will guide end-to-end monitoring, capacity planning, and remediation across teams, shaping reliability for global operations.

You will apply AI-assisted practices and ensure changes are auditable, secure, and aligned with resiliency goals while influencing engineering standards and team culture.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Strong knowledge of VMware/ESXi, Linux/Unix, Microsoft Windows, hardware, networking, storage engineering, deployment practices and performance assessments.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation languages such as Python, Terraform, Ansible.
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth in infrastructure engineering knowledge across additional domains, including data fluency and automation.
• Ability to make significant technical decisions on projects spanning multiple technologies and applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on moderately complex infrastructure challenges.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on VMware ESXi/vCenter and Linux environments, providing technical guidance across infrastructure initiatives.
• Apply technical knowledge to projects of moderate-to-high scope, focusing on systems running at scale.
• Ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications and infrastructure, proactively identifying performance issues.
• Resolve complex technical nuances independently and determine escalation paths when needed.
• Drive capacity management processes and govern remediation efforts with application and infrastructure teams.
