Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Information Security Systems Engineering in Salt Lake City, UT. You will oversee security architecture, ensure compliance with RMF, and coordinate with engineers across software, networking, FPGA, and hardware to validate security requirements.

The role emphasizes governance, risk, and compliance with DoD security standards and enables collaboration to deliver high-assurance defense systems. Some travel and a DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience required.
• Graduate degree with 7+ years of relevant experience acceptable.
• In lieu of degree, 13+ years of relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply security controls from NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253 and related guidance into actionable requirements.
• Support implementation and validation of STIGs and configuration baselines.
• Execute RMF lifecycle activities from categorization to continuous monitoring as needed.
• Develop and review RMF documentation (SSP, SARs, POA&Ms, Security Plans).
