Job summary

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA is hiring a dedicated teacher to work with infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 2 years) in a 40-hour week with comprehensive benefits, including a YMCA membership. The role leads classroom activities, plans developmentally appropriate lessons, and collaborates with families and staff to support young children's learning.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, is bilingual preferred, and commits to ongoing professional

Qualifications

• One of the following: associate, bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Coursework/experience meeting pre-k/toddler care requirements.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards and licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom activities for infants/toddlers and plan daily lessons.
• Supervise meals and classroom routines.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support child development.
