Job summary

PLAYTO LLC in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Lead Infant Teacher to design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons for infants 6 weeks to 12 months, supervise staff, and foster a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working directly with infants or toddlers in an educational or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child developmental milestones and best practices in care and education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities tailored to infants’ needs and interests.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff within the classroom to maintain high-quality care and education.
• Monitor and document each child’s developmental progress, adjusting care and learning strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
• Engage with families regularly to share observations, provide guidance, and support their involvement in their child’s early learning.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and participate in ongoing professional development.
