Job summary

The Learning Experience Upper West Side is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You will nurture babies in a warm, responsive classroom and help them reach important developmental milestones.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Experience in infant classroom or early childhood education preferred.
• Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning in an Infant classroom.
• Provide responsive, individualized care based on each infant's needs.
• Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time and daily routines.
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, music experiences.
• Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain required classroom documentation.
• Maintain consistent communication and build trusting relationships with families.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and classroom support staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom.
• Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Infant Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Upper West Side, New York, NY

Pay: $20-$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Infant Lead Teacher creates a warm, responsive classroom where babies feel safe, secure, and loved while reaching important developmental milestones. We're looking for an educator who understands that infant care is about much more than routines - it's about building trusting relationships, encouraging exploration, and creating meaningful learning experiences from the very beginning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in an Infant classroom
