The Learning Experience - Upper West Side in New York, NY is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This full-time role focuses on creating a warm, responsive classroom for babies, guiding routines, and partnering with families to support development.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and prior infant or early childhood classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Previous infant classroom or early childhood education experience strongly preferred.
• Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in an Infant classroom.
• Provide responsive, individualized care based on each infant's needs and schedule.
• Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and other daily care routines.
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, music, and early learning experiences.
• Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain required classroom documentation.
• Maintain consistent communication and build trusting relationships with families.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and classroom support staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom.
• Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Infant Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Upper West Side, New York, NY

Pay: $20-$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Infant Lead Teacher creates a warm, responsive classroom where babies feel safe, secure, and loved while reaching important developmental milestones. We're looking for an educator who understands that infant care is about much more than routines - it's about building trusting relationships, encouraging exploration, and creating meaningful learning experiences from the very beginning.
