Job summary

PLAYTO LLC in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Lead Teacher to shape early developmental experiences for infants and toddlers. You will design hands-on curricula aligned with milestones to foster physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

You will lead the classroom team, oversee assistants, and document each child’s progress while maintaining a safe environment in compliance with licensing and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child developmental milestones and best practices in care and education.
• Ability to design and implement age-appropriate curricula.
• Experience mentoring assistants and staff.
• Familiarity with NYC and NYS infant care regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for infants.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff.
• Monitor and document each child's developmental progress.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming classroom complying with health and safety regulations.
• Engage with families to share observations and involve them in learning.
• Ensure licensing compliance and participate in ongoing professional development.
