Job summary

Silvi Materials, a diversified mining and materials company, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Foreman for the 2nd shift at our Belle Mead, NJ facility near Princeton. The role leads a crew, plans maintenance, and oversees repair of rock quarry equipment including crushers and conveyors.

You will work under pressure to prevent production delays, have welding expertise, and possess a valid driver's license. Company offers comprehensive benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a similar role or with transferable quarry equipment skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Technical school education in welding, electrical, or maintenance preferred.
• Welding experience required: MIG, STICK, and overhead.
• Quarry/mining experience a plus but not required.
• Gyratory Crusher experience a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, and parts manuals.
• OSHA/MSHA safety regulations knowledge is a plus.
• Must work well under pressure and be willing to put in extra hours.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Plans preventative maintenance, plant projects, and scheduled shutdowns with the maintenance manager.
• Leads a crew of 3-4 mechanics for daily plant maintenance.
• Responsible for getting parts list to manager to keep progress on projects/maintenance.
• Performs skilled maintenance on quarry equipment such as rock crusher, conveyors, electrical panels.
• Inspects and determines the nature of difficulties and restores equipment to good order.
• Evaluates failures for root cause and suggests improvements.
• Performs daily rounds and documents maintenance activities.
• Assists with maintenance on compressors, generators, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Lubricates, cleans, and services equipment.
• Keeps the work area clean and safe.
