Job summary

Silvi Materials in Belle Mead, NJ is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Plant Operator to sustain rock quarry equipment including rock crushers and conveyors. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery, following preventative maintenance schedules and safety protocols.

The role requires welding and hydraulic/pneumatic skills, with shifts up to 12 hours as workload demands. Competitive pay and a full benefits package are offered along with signing bonuses for different maintenance

Qualifications

At least 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Technical school in related field preferred (welding, electrical, maintenance).
Welding experience required (MIG, stick, overhead).
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and diagrams.
Ability to work flexible hours, including up to 12+ hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance on quarry equipment (rock crusher, conveyors, electrical panels).
Inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and restore to operating order.
Evaluate failures and suggest improvements; install modifications as directed.
Conduct daily rounds and follow preventative maintenance schedules.
Assist with maintenance of compressors, generators, pumps, gearboxes and motors.
Lubricate, clean and service equipment; keep area safe and organized.
Handle equipment, materials and supplies responsibly; complete work on time.
