Job summary

TECHEAD seeks a Lead Hardware Design Engineer to oversee end-to-end PCB and system architecture for industrial IoT hardware. You will guide complex electronics projects from concept to high-volume manufacturing, partnering with software, mechanical, QA, and operations teams.

You will lead hardware delivery, select silicon platforms, and design power and interfaces while mentoring engineers and ensuring regulatory compliance across FCC/CE/UL standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on board-level electronics design experience.
• Proven track record launching embedded hardware to production.
• Deep knowledge of high-speed digital design and mixed-signal architectures.
• Experience with SoC/microprocessor-based designs and DDR interfaces.
• Experience designing power conversion and POL regulators.
• Strong documentation, verbal communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end hardware architecture for industrial IoT, embedded computing, and telecommunications equipment.
• Translate product specifications into circuit topologies, system block diagrams, and hardware specs.
• Engineer complex mixed-signal, analog, digital, and power regulation sub-assemblies.
• Evaluate and select primary silicon platforms, including SoCs, FPGAs, PMICs, memory, and high-speed transceivers.
• Execute schematic capture via industry-standard EDA platforms with cost, manufacturability, and thermal constraints.
• Architect designs supporting RTOS environments and Embedded Linux chipsets.
• Layout high-speed networks and memory topologies, and implement physical layer interfaces.
• Design power supplies, PDN, and energy-efficient rails.
• Perform thermal modeling, timing budgets, SI/PI analyses.
• Lead hardware delivery through prototype bring-up, DVT, pilot runs, and mass production.
• Mentor engineers, review schematics, and drive engineering standards and roadmaps.
