Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, automation, manufacturing, robotics, controls, or industrial systems integration.
• Experience with complex industrial automation systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong understanding of robotic automation, CNC machining, industrial controls, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate across software, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering disciplines.
• Experience defining technical requirements and managing vendor deliverables.
• Familiarity with industrial robotics platforms (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa).
• Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, industrial networking, motion control, and machine safety.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for system architecture and integration across software, robotics, controls, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
• Define system requirements, functional specs, interface documents, and acceptance criteria for automation projects.
• Translate customer requirements into technical requirements for internal teams and vendors.
• Develop technical packages, statements of work, and specifications for third-party suppliers.
• Coordinate and hold vendors accountable for meeting technical, schedule, performance, and quality requirements.
• Review test plans and validation results to ensure performance and reliability; provide leadership during root cause analysis.
