Viable Engineering Solutions, LLC in Orlando, FL seeks a PLC Controls Engineer III with hands-on commissioning experience to own controls for assigned portions of automated systems, from design through deployment.

You will develop PLC programs with ladder logic, build HMI screens, test on bench and on site, and work with electrical, mechanical, robotics, and software teams to deliver robust mechatronic solutions.

Competenze

• 5+ years of industrial automation controls experience.
• Proven experience designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
• Strong PLC programming skills, primarily using ladder logic (Allen-Bradley/Siemens).
• Experience with servo and motion control systems and loop tuning.
• Experience implementing safety circuits and safety PLC logic; familiar with machine safety components.
• Ability to read schematics and perform hands-on electrical/mechanical repairs.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
• Experience with program backups, version control, and change management.
• Owned the controls for a major portion of at least one delivered automated system through commissioning.
• Knowledge of ISO, ANSI, NFPA standards relevant to industrial machinery (NFPA 79).

Mansioni

• Own the controls for assigned portions of automated systems from design through commissioning with minimal oversight.
• Define operation sequences, I/O, acceptance criteria with the project team, and estimate effort.
• Design, develop, and deploy PLC-based control systems using ladder logic within the project architecture.
• Build PLC programs for sensors, actuators, motors, robots, and safety circuits; test on bench or in simulation.
• Develop HMI screens, alarms, and diagnostics for owned system portions.
• Research and support new R&D automation solutions; present findings to the project team.
• Integrate hardware such as sensors, actuators, servo systems, robotics, and safety devices with appropriate protocols.
• Commission and validate system portions on site and optimize for performance and cycle-time.
• Conduct hands-on electrical/mechanical tasks and troubleshoot faults; perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, robotics, and software teams; communicate technical details to customers.
