Job summary

TAS Energy is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead design, implementation, and commissioning of advanced automation and control systems in our Houston-area facility. You will guide projects from concept to handoff, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor engineers, technicians, and operations staff in safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has deep PLC/SCADA experience, instrumentation and networking knowledge, and a track record of delivering reliable manufacturing automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing and supporting industrial automation systems.
• Advanced PLC programming experience with major platforms.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA applications and industrial networks.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, motor controls, drives, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, and commission industrial automation and control systems.
• Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion-control, and robotic applications.
• Lead automation projects from requirements through startup and handoff to operations.
• Troubleshoot complex control-system, instrumentation, electrical, and network issues.
• Develop technical documentation and ensure systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, maintenance, and external system integrators.
