Job summary

Baker Group in Ankeny, IA is seeking a full-time Automation Engineer to provide technical startup, checkout and programming for Building Automation and Control Systems, and to maintain the Client for Life concept.

You will work with design and operation engineers, perform startup of PLC and DDC controllers, interpret sequences of operations, write ladder logic, mentor technicians, and lead medium to large projects while ensuring QA/QC and commissioning logs.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of automation-related field experience.
• Associate degree in Electronic, Technology, or Automation field or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup and commissioning of PLC and DDC controllers.
• Interpret Sequence of Operations and apply to control logic.
• Read/write ladder logic and structured text.
• Mentor Automation Technicians.
• Coordinate with design, operation engineers, and purchasers.
• Configure networks and assign IP addresses.
• Develop graphics and dashboards for automation systems.
