Job summary

Johnston County Department of Social Services is seeking a Lead Worker to oversee IMC II income maintenance, provide training on the NC Fast system, and support caseload management. The role emphasizes ensuring eligibility accuracy, staff coaching, and timely processing of Medicaid-related work while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply county, state, and federal regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively, with diverse populations.
• Experience with income maintenance programs and Medicaid processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Worker over IMC II income maintenance assignments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide training and refresher sessions for staff on NC Fast and procedures.
• Conduct 2nd party reviews and assist with caseloads during staffing gaps.
• Assist with monitoring applications and recertifications and allocating work accordingly.
• Prepare cases for hearings and support income maintenance operations.
• Monitor reports (FRR/BEER) and assist with Medicaid verification reporting.
