Job summary

ReCon Management Services, Inc. seeks a disciplined drafting and design professional to develop mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil or structural packages for complex industrial projects.

You will interact with clients and engineering counterparts and oversee discipline design teams on mid to large projects. The role requires strong AutoCAD/CADWorx skills, regulatory knowledge and coaching of designers and drafters, with travel to sites as needed and adherence to project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 16 years of experience, or an Associate Degree in a related technical field, or two years of college toward a related BS degree, and at least 10 years of experience.
• Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement.
• Proficient AutoCAD and CADWorx; scanning software knowledge; Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of relevant codes/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reports to design supervisor the status of design activities on assigned projects.
• Identifies deviations from original scope, initiates change log, and helps estimate change magnitude.
• Attends weekly project meetings as required.
• Defines scope of drafting requirements and estimates drafting hours.
• Assigns work to drafting staff and ensures quality output.
• Coordinating work with other disciplines and clients; reviewing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Participates in 3D model reviews; coaches and oversees designers and drafters.
