Job summary

Project Resource Collective LLC seeks an EI&C Design Manager to lead a multidisciplinary drafting and design team on complex industrial and energy infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field (required).
• Minimum 10 years electrical design experience in industrial/energy sectors.
• At least 2 years supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proficient with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of drafting and design personnel to ensure project schedules and milestones are achieved.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to develop estimates for complete design packages and allocate resources effectively.
• Prioritize and manage drafting workloads across multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Develop and review complex electrical layouts, cable tray systems, 3D models, and other design deliverables from conceptual design through detailed engineering.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Produce and review electrical design packages using CAD software and provide technical guidance to junior designers.
• Maintain project controls, documentation, and records in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve design quality, simplify processes, and reduce rework.
• Review and approve design deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
• Evaluate and implement design technologies and CAD-based efficiency tools to improve productivity.
• Mentor and develop less-experienced designers while fostering a collaborative team environment.
